Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) reported on Tuesday night that as of March 2023 special gasoline + increased its blend from 8% to 10% with ethanolwith the objective of reduce the purchase subsidy of the imported product.

Through a statement, the state oil company recalled that according to Supreme Decree 3672, when fuels are marketed with Anhydrous Ethanol will have a volumetric proportion of up to 12% of the additive of vegetable origin.

In the report they emphasize that since November 2018 the commercialization of Super Ethanol 92 Gasoline began with the corresponding dosage and that to date is maintained.

YPFB ratified that the fuels sold at service stations have the quality of international standardsin addition to the Dosages authorized by current regulations do not affect or damage motorized vehicles. that circulate in the national territory.

Previously, the industrial sector expressed its discontent on this issue because they consider that Yacimientos is not interested in expand the purchase of this natural additivewhich is mixed with gasoline to obtain a better fuel and reduce fuel imports.

The industrialists argue that there is no political will to expand the use of ethanolwhich has to be exported due to the low demand from the state oil company.
