Bolivian Fiscal Oilfields (YPFB) acknowledged that the rise in the price of oil will increase the cost of the subsidy for hydrocarbons, but guaranteed that the price of fuels remains frozen.
The price and supply of gasoline and diesel will not suffer any alteration in Bolivia despite the international context, product of the war between Russia and Ukraine, an aspect that contributes to the economic stability of the Bolivian family, announced the executive president of YPFB, Armin Dorgathen .
“The State gives peace of mind to the Bolivian people, definitely the increase in the price of crude oil increases the subsidy made by the State, but what we want is to give certainty to the population and maintain fuel prices for everyone,” said the executive .
Last year the diesel subsidy cost the country 3,337 million bolivianos, while the gasoline subsidy reached 993 million bolivianos, according to YPFB data.
In the General State Budget (PGE) 2022, an expenditure of 4,794.6 million bolivianos is projected in subsidies.
