Youth Baseball: Metro is still alive, Bocas ties its series

Panama Metro stayed alive in the Round of 8 of the Youth Baseball Championship by beating Coclé 7 runs by 3 and avoiding the sweep of their series, where the Coclesans continue to lead now 3 games to 1.

The metropolitans attacked from the very first inning, scoring a run, in the second inning they added one more and in the third chapter they added two annotations, in the fifth two and in the sixth inning a run to total their seven of the game, while Coclé added one in the first inning and two in the sixth.

Iván Castillo was Metro’s best hitter by going 2-3 with three RBIs and one run scored; while the winning pitcher was Benjamín González.

Bocas del Toro 5-1 Chiriqui

Bocas del Toro defeated Chiriquí 5 runs to 1 to tie the series at two games per side.

Jhojan Downer went 1-3 with two RBIs, one scored and two walks to be the most outstanding offensive player for the Tortugueros.

The winning pitcher was Isaac Rodríguez who worked six episodes allowing only one run, seven hits and struck out 5.
