
A 22-year-old young woman, identified as Randal Glendysmar Telles Peña, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the alleged crime of inciting hatred, after a video about Nicolás Maduro and Diosdado Cabello, attributed to her, circulated on the social network TikTok.
The material, reported Barinas News, It would have been created by someone with artificial intelligence, using a selfie-type photograph of the detainee and an audio in which critical comments towards Maduro and Cabello were heard.

The family claims that Randal had no relationship with the publication or creation of the content.
“My daughter is unjustly deprived of her freedom and her emotional state deteriorates every day. Once again I call on prosecutor Tarek William Saab to review this case and see justice done,” said the mother, Gladys Peña, to the local media.
“My daughter did not publish that video created with artificial intelligence. They took a selfie-type photo of her, they played an audio recording of her talking about the government, they put it on a CD and an anonymous person filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office,” he added.
Telles was arrested on October 22, 2024 – in the midst of the strong persecution after the electoral fraud – at her workplace, after an anonymous complaint filed with the Public Ministry. On October 14, the state’s Criminal Judicial Circuit handed down a conviction, imposing a sentence of 15 years in prison.
“I feel like my life is over”
The young woman remains detained in Command 331 of Ciudad Tavacare, where she learned of the judicial decision. After the hearing, He wrote a letter to his parents in which he expressed his frustration with the ruling.
“I just feel like disappearing, I feel like my life is over.” and, along with it, my dreams, my goals and my hope, I can only feel pain, helplessness and sadness for myself, for my parents and my family,” reads one of the fragments shared by the media.
In the letter he assured that he had maintained the hope of receiving freedom after 11 months of preventive detention.
“I ask God to take me quickly, I do not accept it or assimilate it, this is unfair, this is not life. I want my freedom, I want to go back to my home and hug my parents”, wrote.
