Young woman reported missing in Havana appears safe and sound

MÉRIDA, Mexico – The young woman Kiara Bermúdez González, who had been reported missing in recent hours in Havana, appeared “safe and sound.”

On Thursday, independent feminist platforms activated the Yeniset Alert to locate the young Lianet Núñez Pérez, 20 years old, missing in Old Havana.

Núñez Pérez, who lives in the Jesús María neighborhood in Old Havana, was last seen on Thursday, August 22, according to the YoSíTeCreo platform in Cuba.

The young woman has white skin, black hair, freckles on her face and very light brown eyes. She has a tattoo of an equation on her chest. She is 1.62 meters tall and does not suffer from any illnesses.

This Sunday, the feminist platform reported that, despite the messages of condolence circulating on social media, it has not been able to verify the young woman’s death.

“Following messages of condolences on social media, we are trying to verify with the family the situation of Lianet Núñez Pérez, 20 years old, who was reported missing on Thursday, August 22, in Old Havana. We will leave this alert in the VERIFICATION category until it is possible to have the required information,” reported.
