The Cicpc reported on the capture of Luis Antonio Rivas Atencio (18), accused of the murder of Jorge Luis Barroso, 55 years old.
The information was aired through the organization’s mass dissemination networks where it is specified that the arrest of Rivas Atencio was carried out by the Cicpc-Cabimas Delegation (Zulia).
Barroso’s murder occurred in a home located in the Ambrosio parish, Cabimas municipality, Zulia state on December 22, 2025.
The victim was subdued by his friend, Luis Antonio Rivas Atencio (18), after having a strong argument due to personal problems, where the aggressor took a knife-type weapon, inflicting multiple wounds on him, causing his immediate death.
Barroso was arrested in the Punta Icotea sector, in the same town as the incident.
