Young people went to the UASD in search of employment

The greatest wish reflected and expressed by the hundreds of young people who attended this Friday the job fair who organized the Ministry of Labor at the UASD, was the “being able to be graced” to stay with one of the 1,115 jobs offered.

Some from Villa Mella, others from Sabana Perdida, many from Cristo Rey, Capotillo, Los Guandules, San Cristóbal, La Vega and other demarcations, but all with a single objective, to get a job and, in some cases, that long-awaited first job.

With sweaty faces and complaining about the slowness in the queue, three friends were waiting for their turn to obtain one of the forms that had to be filled out with the aptitudes, skills and abilities that they possessed and for the positions to which they were assigned. that was applied.

Of these three, one of them, Karina, pointed out that one of the positions for which she opted was as an inventory analyst, but that she did not mind being a secretary either because her only objective was to leave that fair with a job.

“What I want is to work”, were some of the responses applicants gave when asked which position they were applying for.

For the most part, those who attended the fair were young people, who when consulted stated that they were in their first university semester and considered that having a job It would help them pay for the large expenses involved in starting university life in the Dominican Republic.
