Then The Evil Ones filled the square with the sound of surfing, followed by Vortice Emsamble and their instrumental-experimental sound.
“Another six years of the second floor of the transformation await us, the future is in you,” Pedro Miguel told the young people.
The flautist Hora Franco also performed, inviting young people to expose themselves to all types of artistic expressions. She was followed by singer Rocío Jaramillo, who took the microphone with a rainbow flag on her back, representing sexual diversity; and then Ediie and Los Grasos take the stage, with their rockabilly guitars.
Los Estrambticos made the audience dance with their ska rhythms, followed by the Orqueska Internacional.
Testimonies from people who claimed to see positive changes in their lives during López Obrador’s mandate were also projected on the screen, such as support for people with disabilities and the ‘Young People Building the Future’ program and the Wellbeing Pension for Older Adults.
The closing presentation will be led by El Alemán, singer of the rap and trap genre.
Farewell caravan to the president
The “Hasta siemprepresident” caravan was held from Toluca to say goodbye to López Obrador. With around 50 vehicles, supporters gathered at Vicente Guerrero Park to take a tour through the streets of Toluca including Morelos Avenue, to reach the Flag Monument and end at the Plaza de los Mártires.
Carrying flags and t-shirts with the caricature that represents the president, the attendees chanted cheers such as “it is an honor to be with Obrador” and a group went to the front in the box of a cargo truck, from where they gave t-shirts to some passers-by.
