Young people linked to INAU will have access to their first work experience at service stations

The National Institute for Children and Adolescents of Uruguay (INAU) signed, on August 2, an agreement with the Union of Nafta Vendors of Uruguay (Unvenu), so that the beneficiaries of the different programs of the organization over 18 years of age can get your first job. “It is very important for young people in their condition as subjects of law,” said the head of the INAU, Pablo Abdala.

The vice president of INAU, Aldo Velázquez, and the president of Unvenu, Daniel Añón, also participated in the activity.

Abdala pointed out the importance of the agreement to create opportunities for adolescents linked to the organization and accompany the construction of their progressive autonomy. He explained that, as they approach the age of majority, graduation strategies are essential and are associated both with the approximation to the labor market and with curricular training. In this sense, he highlighted the scope of the union of fuel sellers in terms of its territorial deployment.

“We all have the right to happiness and opportunities, and, without a doubt, we have to make this right possible for the adolescents linked to the INAU,” he said.

Meanwhile, Añón referred to Unvenu’s experience regarding the incorporation of members of different state programs and maintained that the intention is that the largest possible number of stations join the proposal.

The agreement was made within the framework of Law No. 19,993, on Employment Promotion, of August 8, 2021.
