“I come to testify that the young Beyker Ferretti, whom the genocidal guard is formally accusing, was not present the day that a paramilitary with a firearm (…) shot my son.”

Public Ministry presents false witnesses

Regarding the alleged witnesses presented by the Public Ministry (MP) to testify against Beyker Ferreti, the opponent now in exile in the United States, he affirmed that these are state workers who function as paramilitaries of the Ortega regime.

«I want to mention that the testimonies of Wilber Noel Ríos Mora, Hernaldo José Salinas Aguilar and Ramón Salvador Cárdenas Castillo they are invalid, since they have no moral authority.”

He added that if there were to be a true trial, where the death of baby Teyler Lorío is investigated, the main witnesses would be him and his wife Karina Navarrete. “I do not want people who at no time had anything to do with the death of my son to be brought to trial.”

On the other hand, Lorío mentioned a series of irregularities presented in the accusation of the Prosecutor’s Office, since they assure that the event was in the sector of the Americas three, when according to Lorío, it occurred in the Americas One.

«I had to help myself in a house and then run away and protect my daughter’s life until the sector of the Americas Three, where a video appears that also -the Police- want to misrepresent and put it as evidence against this young man -Beyker Ferretti- , where he supposedly says: “I hit the child”, which is not the case, because what the boy says is: “they hit the child”, “Lorío Sandoval narrated.

He also demanded that the spurious trial against Ferreti cease. “I do not want it to continue to be mentioned that he is involved in the death of my son because he was never present at the scene.”

«As a family we continue to wait for the international community and human rights organizations to approach us, because we have the evidence; we are victims and we are waiting for a trial against Ortega to begin. We demand the freedom of Beyker Ferretti and that of all political prisoners,” he demanded.

For her part, the human rights defense lawyer Yonarqui Martínez, pointed out that “this is not the Justice that the parents of the minor Lorio demand” but a transparent investigation and process without violating rights.
