A 22-year-old man lost his life after being shot in The cemeterySanta Rosalía parish, Libertador de Caracas municipality.
The victim was identified by his relatives as Roiker José Valdespino González.
The young man was returning to his home after spending time with friends and acquaintances at a party in the area when he was shot in the neck, presumably while resisting a robbery.
Neighbors in the sector alerted the police about what happened, but when the authorities arrived, Roiker had already died.
The deceased had only three months after arriving from Colombia, where he worked for more than four years as a delivery person in a restaurant.
The autopsy determined that the cause of death was secondary hypovolemic shock from a single-projectile firearm wound to the neck.
Valdespino González currently worked at a virtual exchange house in Caracas, and returned to Venezuela for financial reasons.
