The talent of Valle del Cauca shone at the USA BMX Grand Nationals 2025, where two young athletes stood on the podium and raised the name of Colombia in the most important BMX championship in the United States.

The Cali pilot Alejandro Yanguasjust 14 years old, was crowned champion in the USA BMX Grand Nationals 2025considered the most important and demanding championship of this discipline in the United States and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world.

With this triumph, Alejandro Yanguas consolidates himself as one of the new promises of BMX in Colombiaafter winning against thousands of international competitors in an event that brought together more than five thousand pilots from different countries.
A sporting process that began since childhood
Currently an eighth grade student, Yanguas began his BMX journey at 6 yearsbuilding a solid sports process based on discipline, constant training and family support.
His victory at the USA BMX Grand Nationals not only represents a personal achievement, but also an important recognition for the Cali and Valle del Cauca sport.
Valle del Cauca left its mark in the most important BMX championship in the United States
Together with Alejandro Yanguas, others three athletes from Valle del Cauca They also had an outstanding participation in this international tournament, leaving the name of Colombia high:
- Mateo Mantilla Hurtado8 years old, obtained the third place in the Intermediate 8 years categorycompeting against more than 65 drivers from around the world. Mateo is current champion of the Grand District, champion of the CBO – Western BMX Cup 2025 and national runner-up 2025.


- Juan José Agudeloin the Intermediate category 10 yearsachieved an outstanding second place in GRANDS, demonstrating its high competitive level.


- Kai Mejiain the Intermediate category 7 yearsalso got on the podium by reaching the second place in its category.
