The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that three other teenagers who acted as accomplices in the incident will also be arrested.
He Attorney General of the RepublicTarek William Saab, reported this Monday on the arrest of two young people who physically and verbally attacked a 13-year-old classmate from the Juan Escalona school located in El Hatillo.
After being massively tagged in a video in which a group of young students are observed physically and verbally attacking another schoolmate, Saab immediately appointed a prosecutor with jurisdiction over children and adolescents to do justice in this case.
“After the preliminary investigations carried out: Saab explained that the 15-year-old teenage material authors of the MAGA and DCCS aggression were immediately apprehended to be charged with the crimes of preterointentional homicide in degrees of frustration, violence and aggregation. Likewise, through the prosecutor’s office 117 of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, said aggressors will be requested today to receive a measure of deprivation of liberty to be detained in the José Gregorio Hernández Care Entity,” added the Public Ministry through its Instagram account.
Likewise, it was indicated that three other teenagers who acted as accomplices in the incident, who have been fully identified, will be arrested.
With respect to the victim, the Public Ministry will offer psychiatric assistance that will be provided by the multidisciplinary team assigned to the Directorate of Support for Criminal Investigation.
“At the same time, the parents of the young aggressors will be summoned by the criminal entity to leave in writing the commitment they will have for the correct education and behavior of said young women, as established by the Law,” he said.
The attorney general expressed that with these exemplary actions the Public Ministry will not allow acts like these to go unpunished, being sanctioned to create a precedent of justice and protection of the human rights of the most vulnerable.
