The Colombian singer did not like to talk about it and stopped the conversation.

One of the artists who will be at the opening show of the Qatar 2022 World Cup is the Colombian reggaeton player Maluma, who together with Nicky Minaj and Miriam interpret the central theme of the orbital event called: “Tukoh Taka”:
The paisa is already in the Arab country awaiting his first presentation at an event of this magnitude, a great challenge that the artist wanted to take on.
In the run-up to the inaugural event that will take place on Sunday, November 20, Maluma has been offering some interviews to the international media. In one of those dialogues, she experienced an uncomfortable moment that has been a trend on social networks due to a question asked by a journalist.

The urban music singer was asked by Shakira and Dua Lipa, artists who refused to participate in the World Cup due to Qatar’s poor record on human rights.
Faced with this question, Maluma replied: «Yes, but it is something that I cannot solve. I have only come to enjoy life, to enjoy football and the football festival… It is not something in which I have to be involved. I am here enjoying my music and the beautiful life, playing soccer too,” he expressed.

Immediately, the Kan Moav Vardi reporter pressed Maluma on the subject, and asked him if his presence was helping to “cover up” the situation of the regime of the country that hosted the World Cup.
“Do I have to answer that question?” Maluma said, and immediately got up from the table
“You are rude,” he told the communicator who was stunned by the Colombian’s reaction.
Here is the moment when Maluma gets up from the table and leaves the dialogue with the journalist:
Maluma’s reaction has sparked comments and up to months on social networks. Some supported the gesture of the Colombian singer.
«I don’t understand why he only carries the bulge, what about the players… his Messi, his Cristiano? To those if not because they are the spectacle of football. Don’t be such double moralists!”, “If the journalist cared about the issue of human rights, he wouldn’t have to be in Qatar either. The double standards, profiting from what they now believe to be politically correct», «Very well Maluma you are working and the only ones to blame are FIFA, and the double standards in the world there are many countries that work with these people because they need the money from this country”, commented.
Others thought that the artist was “unprofessional” and that he had to answer all the questions because it was a large-scale event.
“He thought that; that they were going to throw flowers at him”, “How sad that Maluma lends himself for that”, they mentioned.
