Yordenis Ugás meets Ronaldinho: “How nice it was to see him play!”

MIAMI, United States. — Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás recently met former Brazilian soccer player Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, better known as Ronaldinho, whom he admired from a very young age.

In a post posted on social networksUgás recalled how he lived from Cuba the great moments of the genius of the ball and shared anecdotes about how he managed to watch the matches of the European soccer leagues live.

“When Ronaldinho arrived at Barca from PSG in 2003 and brought us back to greatness, and above all joy, how nice it was to see him play. The Champions League matches, I remember those years, I had to advance or put in a story and miss training. And being a world champion, I had to go back and feel sorry, run there and here, through the hotels in Havana to watch the matches”, wrote the Cuban boxer.

Ugás recalls that decades ago it was only possible to watch the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish League classics live in hotels, since the training centers did not receive the signal.

“These communists, every month, promised us the antenna, and I left in 2009 and it was still not there. I don’t know if they put it on afterwards. Life takes a lot of turns. I never thought that one day I would have the opportunity, face to face, to say to this legend: thank you Dinho for everything you did for Barça. Barça fans will be eternally grateful”, pointed out the man from Santiago.

Yordenis Ugás is one of the most active Cuban athletes on social networks. During the last few years, the successful boxer has shared his sports and life experiences, always transmitting positive messages and self-improvement messages to his followers.

Likewise, the boxer has placed his platforms at the service of the freedom of Cubadenouncing the repression on the Island and the injustices committed against the population.
