San Pedro de Macorís – Two children died and another was seriously injured when they were dragged by a jeep, driven by a person who was said to be learning to drive.
The fact was recorded at sunset this Thursday in the Santa Fe sector of San Pedro de Macorís.
Two other people were hit when the driver allegedly lost control.
The children were returning home from the play to receive practices and the vehicle went up the sidewalk in front of the community school, killing two of the children and creating multiple blows and lacerations to three other people.
It was established that the children were accompanied by the baseball coach, who was said to be the father of two of the children, who were hit by a black Runner SUV, whose driver fled the scene.
So far the dead and injured have not been identified. The wounded receive medical care at the Franklin Peña clinic.
One of the deceased infants is the son of the coach and brother of the other child who was injured. The other deceased was a neighbor, who used to go to sports practice.
