Santo Domingo.- With a message posted on his Twitter account, Hipólito Polanco, an important figure within that political organization, published today his resignation from the Dominican Liberation Party, in a brief speech, explains the reasons that force him to leave. of the PLD.

Polanco says that internal democracy has been destroyed in that organization; for which he prioritizes the imposition of candidates, and that they have distanced themselves from the principles and values ​​that gave rise to that party.

The politician thanks his family, work team, as well as his colleagues within the PLD for fully supporting him in decisions such as the one he has decided to make.

In recent days, other leaders of the Casa Morada have been resigning after that party left power in 2020, after losing the elections at that time.

An intense list of leaders and figures of the Dominican Liberation Party, (PLD), have left for another political organization, such is the case of former president Leonel Fernández, who after denouncing fraud against him, decided to form the Pablo Force .

Then they have been followed by well-known figures from the old party, sheltering in the now party founded by former President Fernández.

On the morning of this Thursday, Fernández, former leaders of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), swore in the People’s Force, in an activity held in a hotel in the capital.

Leaders who have left the PLD

Another who had resigned was the former member of the Political Committee, Rafael Paz, who after rumors announced his departure from the entity via his social networks.

Paz, in his short video, said: “the PLD is directed by a waterproof dome that, like an old wineskin, has lost its elasticity; and it does not allow to travel the route towards the origins of that political organization and to apply the transformations that it requires”.
