Yenifer Paredessister-in-law of the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, tested positive for COVID-19 during the medical examination to which she was subjected after surrendering to the authorities this Wednesday, August 10.
This was reported on Canal N by his lawyer, José Dionicio Quesnay, who explained that his client does not show symptoms of the disease. He also referred that appealed the preliminary arrest warrant.
“The doctors on duty who have come to check on her have done the swab test and tested positive for COVID-19. Yes, indeed (she had no symptoms)”he expressed.

The lawyer indicated that the steps to follow are still being evaluated, after testing positive for COVID-19, since the priority is the health of the president’s sister-in-law.

As recalled, Yenifer Paredes He turned himself in to the Public Ministry after a preliminary arrest warrant was issued against him.
The Judiciary issued a 10-day detention against Navarro Walls, in the framework of the investigation that is being carried out for the alleged crime of criminal organization. Along with her, the measure was taken against businessman Hugo Espino and his wife.
Yesterday prosecutors from the special team against the corruption of power arrived at the Government Palace to capture her, but they did not find her. This Wednesday, prosecutors from the same team raided President Castillo’s home in Cajamarca, also without success.
