The provinces of Corrientes and Misiones are under yellow alert for stormswith intense gusts of wind, occasional hail, strong electrical activity and abundant rainfall in short periods, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported on Saturday morning.
In Corrientes, the area under alert includes the cities of General Alvear, Paso de los Libres, San Martín and Santo Tomé; while in Missions focuses on May 25, Apóstoles, Cainguás, Concepción, Leandro N. Alem, Oberá, San Javier and South Guarani.
On the other hand, there is a yellow alert for the Senguer River plateau, in Chubut, due to winds from the west sector that will have speeds of between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour and gusts that can exceed 90 kilometers per hour.
Finally, the SMN warned that there is yellow alert in the Plateau of Lake Buenos Aires and the Plateau of Río Chico, in Santa Cruz, due to winds of equal intensity, which will last until Sunday.
