The Congress of the New Era, Communication chapter, convened this Friday, a state general assembly in Yaracuy, in which representatives of the 14 municipalities will begin to draw up a work plan to be developed throughout the year.
In the Rafael Zárraga theater of the Cocorote municipality, popular, community communicators, the media, public institutions and different instances of popular power met to define strategies in defense of the homeland and the Bolivarian Revolution.
The delegates of the national commission of the Congress of the New Era, Communication chapter, dictated the lines that will serve as the basis to develop a plan that covers all communities and integrates all the people, without distinction of social class or political activism.
The general secretary of the Active Reserve Movement and national delegate of the Congress, Carlos Julio Rodríguez, said that the call of the communicators goes beyond the political parties of the Patriotic Pole. The purpose is to reach all social movements and popular bases.
For her part, the national coordinator of the Aristóbulo Isturiz Bolivarian Family Movement, Carmen Blanco, mentioned that the 42 social movements that make up the Congress of the New Era at the national level are deployed throughout the country, united and organized to better understand the structures of each one and continue defending independence and national sovereignty.
“We are throughout the country, organizing ourselves and reviewing our bases to strengthen ourselves and prepare for the coming struggles, which we must face with great courage, loyalty, and strength to win and continue advancing in revolution,” Blanco highlighted.
Congress of the New Era active in the 14 municipalities
Meanwhile, the state coordinator of the Congress of the New Era, Víctor Patrizzi, pointed out that in Yaracuy there are 37 active social movements with the Congress, whose main objective is to support actions that help to achieve, specifically, the transition to socialism.
“We are evaluating and dynamizing the movement of the New Era to achieve the precise objectives that the Congress must achieve to broaden the base of support for the Bolivarian Revolution and consolidate the conquests of the great victories of the people,” Patrizzi stressed.
The plan is to deploy the entire active structure of the New Era Congress and reach all sectors of the 14 municipalities, coordinate with all popular movements, political parties and grassroots organizations of popular power in order to achieve a state mega structure and national around an organization that fights for the interests of the people.
The meeting concluded with the task of continuing to expand the structure in each corner of the 14 municipalities, for which the organization of future meetings in each jurisdiction was delegated to the municipal officials.
