This figure of 10 million users is estimated over an approximate universe of nine million homes with gas service through networks, and between 15 and 17 million homes with electricity service, a figure estimated by the Nation since the database of the electricity distribution is held by the provinces.

In this way, the progression of the work diagram that heads The Secretary of Energy foresees that in the first days of August it will be possible to count on the new tariff charts that will be in force, according to each of the user segments.

How does the registration proceed?

In parallel, this Saturday began the registration period that will last until Tuesday for those users whose documents end in 6, 7, 8 and 9, and from then on until July 31 registration will remain open without restrictions.

Once that loading instance has been completed, and the RASE has been closed, Yanotti explained that “the Energy Secretariat will proceed to cross-reference the data of the declarations with the information available to the different agencies of the national State to proceed with the classification in the scheme of each users”, which is estimated to take at least two weeks in August.

“Following this scheme, the first bills are expected to start reaching households in mid-September or mid-October at the latest“, assured the vice president of the Electricity Wholesale Market Administrative Company and one of the main officials responsible for implementing the segmentation.

“The Secretary of Energy will proceed to cross-reference the data of the declarations with the information available to the different agencies of the national State to proceed with the classification in the scheme of each user”, which is estimated to require at least two weeks in August, I affirm yanotti

Yanotti also clarified that the Ministry of Energy is advancing with provinces and municipalities in the minutes-agreement by which each jurisdiction commits to the assistance of users in the implementation of the registry, the massive diffusion of the system and in facilitating the databases. of beneficiaries of social plans and assistance benefits to the most vulnerable sectors.

sanctions

“In this first instance we are going to check data before proceeding to apply the regime and the user is going to be recategorized, and at the same time the sanction is going to be used so that it serves as a sufficient incentive so that they do not falsify the information”

In this way, If it is verified that the inconsistency of the load was an error, it can be rectified, but if the wrong load is confirmed, it will be subject to sanction.

What will happen to those who do not upload their data

Also those users who did not upload their data to request the continuity of subsidies they will have a later instance to join the scheme, an instance that will be carried out through an adaptation of the current RASE, but it will be after the first bills without subsidy that will reach those who are not registered, and on which there will be no refunds.

This new scheme will allow the National Treasury a reduction of subsidies by about $15,000 million for this 2022while for the next year it would rise to $ 80,000 million, according to initial estimates.

The main objective of this policy is to achieve reasonable and fair rates for the value of the energy, for which a distribution of subsidies based on the economic capacity of each household.
