This Saturday, January 21, the “El Cambio es Ya” Payroll, led by Derick Echeverría and Nadine González, who are supported by the General Secretariat, applied for the Youth and Women’s Secretariats at the Cambio Democrático (CD) party headquarters. of the Yanibel Abrego collective, with a view to becoming the new president and formalizing an alliance with Realizando Metas by May 2024.
Currently, Nadine González, a candidate for the Secretariat for Women, is the mayoress of Darién; while Echeverría, who aspires to lead the Youth Secretariat, is the mayor of Bocas del Toro.
During the postulation, Abrego affirmed that the countdown began on January 2 to remove “the dictator of Cambio Democrático (Rómulo Roux)” and assured that they would win the primaries “to have a great alliance with Ricardo Martinelli whom we will take to the presidency of the Republic in 2024”.
“What this project seeks is to win and give women and youth an opportunity and improve the lives of the Panamanian people,” said Deputy Abrego, who arrived at the headquarters with a pleasant and happy troupe and dancing to the sound of music.
The internal elections of CD are scheduled for next Sunday, March 19, taking place that same day the election of conventional ones, the renewal of the National Secretariats of Youth and Women, that day the election of the boards of directors will also be held of corregimientos.
Subsequently, there will be the renewal of the National Board of Directors of the Party and the holding of primaries, to choose the different positions of popular election.
