A federal judge imposed sentences of up to 58 years in prison on four people for the crime of kidnapping, including Leonardo Sales Andrade, The Tolmex, alleged romantic partner of Jaqueline Malinali Gálvez Ruiz, sister of the former presidential candidate for PAN, PRI and PRD, Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz.
In addition to Sales Andrade, three alleged members of the criminal gang were convicted The Tolmex: Ricardo Sales Andrade, The Pelon I The Little Bear; José Alberto Rivero Martínez, The Albert; and Alejandro Roque Velázquez, The devil.
The Attorney General’s Office reported yesterday that the evidence presented by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (Femdo) was sufficient for the third district court in the state of Mexico, based in Toluca, to issue a conviction for organized crime crimes in the form of kidnapping; illegal deprivation of liberty in the form of kidnapping to the detriment of two victims, and carrying a firearm for the exclusive use of the armed forces.
The four sentenced were arrested in 2012 in the state of Mexico and transferred to the Altiplano federal prison. The authorities identified them as members of The Tolmex, dedicated to kidnapping in Mexico City and the Mexican entity.
Following the evidence provided by the Federal Public Ministry before the third district court, Leonardo Sales and José Alberto Rivero received sentences of 58 and 57 years in prison, respectively, for organized crime in the form of kidnapping, aggravated kidnapping and carrying a firearm for the exclusive use of the armed forces, in addition to fines of 256 thousand 998 and 254 thousand 44 pesos.
Meanwhile, Ricardo Sales and Alejandro Roque were sentenced to 54 years in prison for the first two crimes and must pay fines of 251,090 pesos. The four are serving their sentences in different penitentiary centers.
Last March, a district judge in criminal matters sentenced Jaqueline Malinali Gálvez Ruiz to 89 years in prison, Mali either Godmother, for his criminal responsibility in the commission of organized crime crimes, kidnapping to the detriment of two victims and possession of cartridges for firearms for the exclusive use of the Army, and imposed a fine of more than 700 thousand pesos.
