Honduran President Xiomara Castro said on her Twitter account on Sunday that she had tested positive for Covid-19, adding that she has “mild” symptoms and is working remotely.
The result of the PCR (#COVID19) yesterday was negative, today’s is positive. According to tests it is mild. With the blessing of the Creator of the universe, I continue to attend NOT in person, my Government Plan to return to the democratic and Constitutional order.

The 62-year-old, who returned power to the left 12 years after her husband was ousted in a coup, took office in late January.
“According to the exams, it is mild. With the blessing of the Creator of the universe, I continue to attend NOT in person, my Government Plan to return to the democratic and Constitutional order,” the president wrote.
