Cases such as that of Bruno Marabel and that of Agustín Ramón Martínez Martínez, known as the “Israeli Soldier”, shocked an entire country due to the level of violence and the way in which both murdered their victims.
The “Israeli Soldier” killed the lawyer Cardozo, then cut up the body, burned it and finally buried it in a grave he dug on the property of his former father-in-law Arnaldo Llorensa located in the Potrerito de Yaguarón company.
However, the now convicted man already has a record for another triple homicide that occurred in 2009, at the Isla Alta company, in Ybycuí, Department of Paraguarí. On the occasion, the former municipal councilor of Carapeguá, Ricardo Cabello, and his laborers, Hilario Marecos and Alberto Medina, had been cremated. Likewise, another event that occurred in similar circumstances in Misiones is attributed to him.
For his part, Bruno Marabel in 2020 was sentenced to 30 years in prison and another 10 years as a security measure to Bruno Marabel, upon finding him guilty of the fivefold homicide that occurred in October 2018 in a house located in the center of Asunción.
The crime was committed in October 2018 and the victims were Delma Rojas Rodas: her father, Julio Rojas Del Valle: her mother, Elba Rodas and her children aged 4 and 6, whose bodies were found on October 8 and emerged as the main suspected of the fact Bruno Marabel who was Delma’s partner and father of the minors.
In the oral trial, Marabel confessed that she did indeed kill her father-in-law, Julio Rojas, but denied having killed the other four people. However, the evidence proved otherwise.
The forensic doctor, Pablo Lemir, spoke about the characteristic that both convicts present and made a difference between one and the other.
Regarding the “Israeli soldier”, Lemir said that it was a case that “defied science” due to the nature of the crimes committed and because they left no clues.
Both his case and that of Marabel can fall into the category of serial killers, while the hit men see the issue of murder as a labor issue.
“We are facing the classic definition of serial murder that is motivated by other forces. It is more than three deaths with the same seal. The difference with Marabel is that he killed everyone at once, ”said Lemir in contact with 1080 AM.
