MIAMI, United States. – The death of the legendary Brazilian soccer player Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Pelé, has shocked the soccer world. Since the death of the three-time world champion was announced in the afternoon, great sports figures, clubs, politicians and fans from all over the world have not been slow to say goodbye to “O Rei”.
Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaká, Neymar and other legendary Brazilian players were quick to express their condolences after the death of Pelé.
“Unique. Brilliant. Technical. Creative. Perfect. Unique in its kind. Where Pelé arrived, he stayed. Without ever leaving the top, he leaves us today. The king of football, the greatest of all time,” the two-time Ballon d’Or winner wrote on social media.
Neymar, another of the players of the South American giant influenced by the career of the late footballer, assured that “O Rei” marked a before and after in the history of that sport.
“Before Pelé, 10 was just a number. I have read this sentence somewhere, at some point in my life. But this sentence, beautiful, is incomplete. I would say that before Pelé, football was just a sport. Pelé has changed everything. He turned football into art, into entertainment,” said the Paris Saint-Germain attacker.
Clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona, where Pelé never played, also lamented the loss of the historic 10 in Brazil.

“His legacy will always be with us. I did not see him play, I did not have that luck, but they always taught me and told me that he was the King of football, ”said the top Grand Slam winner.
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, also extended his condolences to the relatives of the deceased soccer player and to soccer fans.
