Among the considerations that the Minister raised during her meeting with the Director of the WHO was the negative effect that the Unilateral Coercive Measures (MCU) have had on the National Health System of Venezuela and how it has affected the most vulnerable population in the country.

It should be noted that cooperation with the WHO seeks to strengthen and improve access to essential medicines and medical supplies, as well as to strengthen primary health care in the country.

For his part, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, in a message on the social network Twitter, highlighted that his meeting with Minister Magaly Gutiérrez served to assess the country’s health needs, as well as the entity’s support in the different immunization plans, primary care, diagnosis, preparation against epidemics and strengthening of personnel.
