Working group will propose actions against organized crime

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security established a working group to prepare diagnoses and proposals to combat organized crime in Brazil.Working group will propose actions against organized crime

The group will be coordinated by the National Secretariat of Public Security and will have representatives from bodies such as: Federal Police, Federal Highway Police, National Secretariat for Penal Policies, National Public Security Force and Attorney General’s Office.

The ordinance that creates the group was published in the Official Gazette this Monday (7).

With biweekly meetings, the group must regularly publish internal reports on its activities and will last for 60 days – with the possibility of being extended for another 30, upon justification.

The group’s mission will be to present to the Minister of Justice, Ricardo Lewandowski, a final report on the work, with suggestions for measures, including regulations, to combat organized crime.
