The Minister of Labor, Eduardo Piñate, yesterday led the installation of the Constituent Congress of the Working Class, which brings together 1,300 national delegates elected in their workplaces and in municipal and state assemblies held throughout the country.
He stressed that the working class must be the vanguard of the political project. “It is not just another congress. This is, in my opinion, the most important event for the Venezuelan working class in more than a decade,” he said.
Piñate stressed that this congress is part of the popular constituent process convened by the president, Nicolás Maduro, in July of this year.
Likewise, he pointed out that this activity is part of a broad constituent movement, which reflects the active participation of the people in the construction of a new political and social cycle for the country.
For his part, the sectoral vice president for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, stressed that the digital revolution has modified the way of building public opinion. “Today politics is earned more in the laboratories where algorithms are designed than in the assemblies at the gates of industries,” he stated; At the same time, he insisted on the need to study these new dynamics so as not to be left behind.
PDVSA
The president of the Bolivarian Socialist Workers’ Central, Wills Rangel, called for permanent vigils in defense of PDVSA, after the recent attacks against the oil industry.
He assured that, despite the attacks, PDVSA maintains its full production, thanks to the commitment of the workers. He highlighted that the working class is prepared both in the productive sphere and in co-responsibility for defense.
