Congress enacted this Thursday the law that benefits those workers in private activity whose remuneration is not regulated by collective bargaining and who, in addition, have children over 18 with disabilities in their care.
The Law No. 31600 was published today in Legal Norms of the newspaper El Peruano. This rule modifies article 2 of Law No. 25129, which provides that workers in private activity whose remuneration is not regulated by collective bargaining, will receive the equivalent of 10% of the legal minimum income for all family allowance items.
Article 2 states that workers who have one or more children under the age of 18 are entitled to receive this allowance. In the event that the child, upon reaching the age of majority, is carrying out higher or university studies, this benefit will be extended until he or she completes said studies, up to a maximum of six years after reaching said age of majority.

Likewise, workers who have one or more children, over 18 years of age, with severe disability, duly certified in accordance with the regulations of the National Health Authority, are entitled to receive this allowance, unless they receive the non-contributory pension for severe disability. established by Law No. 29973, General Law for Persons with Disabilities.
As a final complementary provision, the document specified that the Executive Branch, within a period of 30 days from the day following the publication of the standard, adapts the Regulations of Law 25129, approved by Supreme Decree 035-90-TR , to the established modification.
It was also indicated that the rule was communicated to the Executive on October 3 and was published today by order of the President of Congress, José Williams Zapata, as it was not enacted within the legal term.
