Álvaro Gálvez, manager of the legal center of the CCL, explained that the triple payment is broken down as follows: an ordinary remuneration by the holiday (already included in the monthly salary); An additional remuneration for having worked on a holiday, and a 100% surcharge on daily remuneration.
“For example, if a worker wins 100 soles a day and works on July 23, 28 or 29 without compensatory rest, he will receive 300 soles for each day: 100 for the holiday and 200 for having worked with the 100%surcharge,” he explained.
Finally, the specialist clarified that if any of the holidays coincides with the worker’s weekly rest day, he will only receive the remuneration corresponding to said rest, without an additional payment for the holiday.
What holidays are there in July?
July 23, 28 and 29 are non -working national holidays for workers in both sectors. On July 23, the day of the Peruvian Air Force is commemorated, in tribute to the heroic act of Captain FAP José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzales. On July 28 and 29, the national holidays are celebrated, for the anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of Peru.
