Eight states and the Federal District ended the year 2024 with the average income of workers above the country’s average, which reached R $ 3,225, the largest ever recorded in the Home Sample (PNAD) Historical Research series (PNAD), which began in 2012.
According to data released on Friday (14) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the Federal District (DF) has the largest average yield in the country, reaching R $ 5,043. This value is 56% above the average of Brazil and 146% higher than the indicator of Maranhão, the lowest in the country (R $ 2,049).
The highlight of the Federal District is explained by the large contingent of civil servants in the federal capital, which achieve an above -average remuneration of private initiative.
The other locations with average worker income higher than the national average are Sao Paulo, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Espírito Santo.
