This week, the Ministry of Labor and Welfare began to receive requests for administrative appeals from workers who were not qualified to receive the PIS/Pasep salary allowance, base year 2020, but understand that they are entitled to the benefit.
Salary bonus payments started to be made in February and beneficiaries can withdraw the money until December 29th. About 23 million workers were enabled to receive the resource this year.
Workers can question the non-payment through the Regional Labor Superintendencies of the ministry, through the electronic address comprar [email protected]). The appeal review period is 45 days.
At this time, according to the folder, teams are authorized to register processes specifically for the base year 2020. This individual analysis permission does not cover the base year 2019.
check
The federal government advises workers that, before filing an appeal, check all access channels to confirm whether or not they have received the benefit. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, there are situations in which the allowance is deposited, but the beneficiaries do not identify the receipt in their accounts. There are two accredited financial agents to pay the allowance: Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil.
Caixa is the agent responsible for paying the PIS allowance. It makes payments through credit in a checking account, savings account or digital social savings account. When it is not possible to credit the benefit into the account, the amount is made available on the financial institution’s social platform (agencies, lottery, self-service and Caixa Aqui), and the beneficiary must obtain the Citizen Card directly from the institution. The date is informed in the Digital Workbook.
Banco do Brasil is the agent responsible for paying the Pasep allowance. The institution’s account holders have their benefit credited directly to their checking account. For those who indicate bank details with BB, payment will be made via TED and will be credited to the informed account. In other cases, Abono Pasep can be withdrawn at any branch of the bank.
who is entitled
Workers registered with PIS/Pasep for at least five years and who have formally worked for at least 30 days in the base year considered for the calculation are entitled to the benefit, with an average monthly remuneration of up to two minimum wages. It is also necessary that the data have been correctly informed by the employer in the Annual Report of Social Information (Rais).
Workers can also check if they are entitled to withdraw on the federal government or Digital Work Portfolio. The Alô Trabalhador central, telephone 158, is also available for assistance.
Value
The amount of the allowance is proportional to the period in which the employee worked with a formal contract in 2020. Each month worked is equivalent to a benefit of R$ 101, with periods equal to or greater than 15 days counted as a full month. Those who worked 12 months with a formal contract will receive the full minimum wage, which is currently R$1,212.
