This permission it can be used once a year and is applicable to workers with labor contracts of more than 30 days. It is important to take into account that the benefit must be requested one week in advance, notifying the employer of the date on which the preventive exams will be carried out. Subsequently, proof of medical care must be presented to prove that the exams were carried out at the stipulated time.
The law also considers the possibility of increasing the time of leave to be absent from job in the event that the worker needs to travel to and from the health institution, considering geographical factors, transportation, and availability of medical equipment.
