The closures and works on the Pan-American Highway and the National Highway will be suspended as of this Thursday, April 14, this after the Transit and Land Transportation Authority of Panama (ATTT) and the Traffic Operations Directorate of the National Police, ordered the stoppage of these works.

“From 12:00 p.m. on Thursday 14 until 12:01 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, work that requires the closure or occupation of traffic lanes on the Pan-American Highway to and from the interior of the country is suspended. , and on the National Highway that connects Divisa, Chitré and Los Santos,” the ATTT explained in a statement.

This measure is due to the fact that during Holy Week the flow of vehicles into the country increases exponentially from this Thursday. Given this displacement, the ATTT asked the drivers to respect the traffic signs and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police personnel and the entity’s inspectors.
