The semifinals of the Brazilian Supercup for women’s football were defined this Sunday, after Flamengo defeated Esmac, 2-0 at the Luso Brasileiro stadium, and Corinthians beat Palmeiras, 3-0 at the Neo Química Arena.

Playing under the eyes of the women’s team coach, Sweden’s Pia Sundhage, Flamengo beat Esmac with goals from Darlene and Duda. In the next phase, the Gávea team will face Grêmio, which defeated Cruzeiro 2-0, last Friday (4), for the first phase of the competition. The semifinals game will be next Wednesday (9), from 15:30 (Brasília time) at the Luso Brasileiro stadium.

Corinthians, on the other hand, advanced in the Supercup by beating Palmeiras 3-0 thanks to goals from Gabi Portilho, Tamires and Jaqueline. Now, Timão faces Real Brasília (which beat Internacional 1-0 last Friday), on Wednesday, from 18:00, in Parque São Jorge.
