Women with monkeypox: “their partners had relationships with other men”, Dr. Moltó

Angel Valdes | January 19, 2023

Dr. Alfredo Moltó indicated in an interview with Radio Panama that the two registered cases of women with monkeypox now known as “Monkeypox” were due to the fact that their partners had relationships with other men and infected them with the disease.

“We already have two infected ladies, but it is because their partners have had relationships with other men and then have relationships with their partner, so let’s take care of our partners, let’s take care of our families,” said Moltó

According to the latest report from the epidemiology department of the Ministry of Health, it reports a total of 99 accumulated cases, of which 97 are men and 2 are women.

“Let’s behave responsibly with our rights to have our sexual predilections but let’s do it responsibly, let’s know who we have this type of relationship with because as long as there is no awareness, it is more risky to have this type of contact with people we do not know many Sometimes, there is the possibility of developing this disease» indicated Moltó

There are currently 18 active cases, of these 14 patients in home isolation and 4 in isolation in health facilities, while 81 have already completed their isolation.
