Natalia Tovar, legal vice president of the firm said that “The number of credit operations led by women reflects their capacity for resilience and the appropriation of managing their finances, this taking into account that even when women continue to have a lower average income than men, the gap has been reduced”.

The study indicates that the credit value of women grows 3 times more by 2021 compared to men in 2020. The average value of credit for women went from $5.1 million to $6.6 million, and for men, it went from $9 million to $9.9 million.

In line with this, Banco Credifinanciera said that it registered a 56.9% participation of women in its portfolio of microcredits during 2021.
