On Tuesday, a preliminary investigation judge sentenced the woman who was arrested to three years in prison. She abandoned her lifeless baby in a container of garbage from the central market of municipality of Camiri.

The departmental director of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc), Gustavo Astilla, indicated that the mother was arrested when He voluntarily appeared to testify, before the Prosecutor’s Office, after being cornered by police investigations and inquiries.

Astilla explained that the autopsy revealed that the baby, 34 weeks old, was stillborn, which is why sThe crime of infanticide was ruled out and a door opened criminal proceedings for forced abortion.

This Tuesday, the woman underwent an abbreviated procedure hearing, where She admitted that she had an abortion because her baby died in her womb. For this crime she was sentenced to three years in prison.
