Woman who stabbed a young man getting off a bus was sentenced to 18 years

The court ruled that The man died from injuries caused by the woman.who stabbed him after an argument getting off the bus, at kilometer 38 of the Interbalnearia route, in Salinas.

The young manwho worked as a security guard at a dance club in Atlántida, was on his way home when got ready to go down and on the way unintentionally stepped on an older man, that he was drunk with a woman and another man and ended up scolding him.

As the driver stopped the vehicle, the man continued with the insults until Píriz Arnal pushed him out. He also took out the other two companions of him. “At that time there was a altercation on top of the bus between the victim, the woman now sentenced and two more men, who fell from the bus onto the sidewalk,” the Prosecutor’s report states.

The court ruling warns that “a fight” of “three against one” in front of the front of the bus, which was already stopped, stated Underlined.

Then the woman complained to the young man: “Don’t mess with Tata (referring to the downtrodden man).” Then, pulled out a knife and attacked Píriz, who tried to get away of the first attack –unsuccessful– and then he received a second stab on the chest

“The situation continued until at one point the victim climbs with a stab wound“, describes the Prosecutor’s Office.

Píriz was transferred to a medical center in Montevideo, where he finally died, despite surgical interventions. “The man died of injuries received.“, notes the error.

The case was in charge of the prosecutor of Atlántida Eliana Travers. Judge Federico Soler endorsed the story argued by the prosecutor.
