Early on Monday, May 20, a woman in an obvious state of intoxication attacks a police unit by biting him on the forearm. The incident occurred during the eviction on the premises of several nightclubs in the town of Santa Ana, according to Deputy Commissioner Marcos Rodgers, Chief of the Metro West Police Zone.
The events occurred when the police units, following current regulations on closing hours and the control of nighttime activities, proceeded to evict the customers who were staying outside the establishments. During the operation, a woman was visibly upset and refused to leave the scene.
Outside the premises, the woman reacted violently and bit the police officer on the right forearm, causing a wound that required immediate medical attention. The aggressor was apprehended at the scene and taken to the House of Justice and Peace.
The police officer was taken to a medical center for treatment.
