San Pedro de Macorís – A woman who was wanted with an arrest warrant, accused of taking the life of a 23-year-old girl yesterday Saturday in the Guayacanes municipality of this province, was handed over to the Police this Sunday afternoon.
The woman turned herself in through the mediation of the communicator Félix Victorino and human rights representatives at the headquarters of the Regional Subdirectorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim), in this city.
Doctors and Human Rights representatives Menelo Soliman and Rafael Esteban Vásquez Arismendy accompanied Victorino.
The defendant, Yokaira Noelia Zapata Zapata, 31, also a resident of Guayacanes, was handed over by her representatives in the presence of the Southeast Regional Director, General Orison Olivence and the Deputy Regional Director of Criminal Investigations Dicrim Lieutenant Colonel de la Cruz Ángeles.
Yokaira Noelia is being accused of violation of articles 295 and 304 of the Dominican Penal Code, 83 and 86 of law 631-16, to the detriment of the deceased.
