The uniformed man described the scene of crime like “a movie of terror“in which, supposedly, the Italian-Colombian Michael Saba, accused of the murder and dismemberment of the young woman, orchestrated the murder in a tower in the Eixample Piantini the early morning on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
“That was like a movie of terror; I have been in the National Police for 12 years and I had never seen a scene of crime like this,” private Almánzar Galva told the judges of the Third Collegiate Court of the National District.
The police officer explained that the body of the victim He was found inside a suitcase, without feet, arms or head. The limbs were found in a black lump on the balcony, while the head was inside the refrigerator.
According to the private’s testimony, he went to the scene with a police team after a called of help by Yeisy Carolina Pérez Canelón, sister of the victimwho suspected that the deceased had been kidnapped. “When we arrived, we found the accused Michael Saba, who was very nervous. “We decided not to allow him to leave the tower until what happened was clarified,” he explained.
The trial also included the stories from other witnesses who confirmed the circumstances that surrounded the rent of the apartment and the actions of accused.
Wilfredo José Camilo Morel, known accused for four years, he declared that Saba asked him to rent the apartment through Airbnb. “He contacted me on WhatsApp, sent me the money with a taxi, and I proceeded to rent the property. It was the second time I had done it for him,” he explained. Camilo Morel added that he was later notified about the murder that occurred at the scene.
Pedro Luis Barreras García, a former restaurant employee and acquaintance of the accusedtestified that Saba asked him to buy paint white and gloves on the afternoon of December 21, but then changed his mind and ordered food. “When I returned to the tower, there was a DICRIM Police agent. Later I found out what happened,” said Barreras García.
Luis Alexander Gutiérrez, taxi driver Since 2019, he stated that Saba asked him to transfer a woman to the apartment in hours of the early morning. He also indicated that he gave a sandwich and cigarettes to the accused during the same night.
Michael Saba, the main accusedremained in the apartment when the authorities they arrived at the place. Eyewitnesses claim that his movements and behavior were erratic, increasing suspicions against him.

The legs of the victim were found on the balcony in a package, while other parts of the body were distributed in the apartment.
The accused is under preventive detention from December 2023, a measure dictated by the Judged of Permanent Attention of the National District.
