Since the Hearing was postponed until August 21the defense of the accused will have the necessary time to review the folios presented by the Prosecutor’s Office, which detail the statements of the witnesses that could make Nicanor Boluarte returns to prison.
One of these testimonies is that of Theodore Berru, Dina Boluarte’s spiritual advisor and a confidant of both siblings. Berrú told prosecutor Carlos Ordaya López about the secret meetings led by Nicanor Boluarte that would reveal the power he has in his sister’s administration.
For Berrú, Nicanor Boluarte was the shadow advisor of Dina Boluarte and who had the final say in government decisions.
“(…) the person who signed the resolutions appointing these last mentioned positions was Dina Boluarte, and Nicanor Boluarte “He was the one who selected and proposed these officials, although as a shadow advisor, since he is the political ideologist of the current presidential administration,” says Berrú’s testimony to which La República had access.
Mateo Castañeda, Dina Boluarte’s former lawyer, is also under investigation for allegedly belonging to the Waykis in the shadows.
Nicanor Boluarte advised his sister since she was Pedro Castillo’s minister
According to the testimony of Teodoro Berrú, Nicanor Boluarte He was the person who appointed officials since his sister’s slate won the elections and Peter Castillo He appointed her Minister of Development and Social Inclusion.
Then, after the failed coup d’état and the “betrayal” of Castillo Terrones, it was Nicanor Boluarte who assumed the command of his sister’s government.
“Mr. Nicanor Boluarte advised in the shadows Dina Boluarte Zegarrahe hardly went to campaign meetings; however, when the elections were won, he took charge of the appointment of officials and the vice presidency when Dina Boluarte Zegarra assumed that position and when she was also Minister of Midis (Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion). Then, when he betrayed Pedro Castillo and Dina Boluarte assumed the presidency of the Republic, then Nicanor Boluarte took control of public management. I know this given that in the organic meetings of the trusted team to propose public positions in Lima and the regions where, among others, prefects and sub-prefects were illegally appointed (…)”, he adds.

Nincanor Boluarte had the last word, according to witness
Teodoro Berrú recounted how all the appointments of prefects and sub-prefects were approved by Nicanor Boluarte, without caring whether Dina had already ordered them.
As in his case, Berrú had been offered the position of sub-prefect of Lima, but it was finally assigned to someone else. Faced with this situation, Berrú decided to approach the director Jorge Ortíz Marreros to present his complaint.
In response, Ortiz Marreros told him: “Look, Dina Boluarte has the first word and Nicanor Boluarte has the last word. And if the latter calls, then, the next day, I will draft the appointment resolution.”
