Within hours of handing over power, Martí Batres highlights his reforms and works in CDMX

When leading the delivery of 50 new electric units for the Passenger Transport Network (RTP) that will be distributed on the organization’s different routes, Martí Batres said that in mobility, the outgoing administration took an important step in the renewal of the vehicle fleet of the public transport.

He explained that only in the Metro Collective Transportation System, there were high-impact interventions such as the releveling of elevated sections on lines 9 and B. The new Trolleybus line was recently inaugurated in Los Pedregales de Coyoacán.

“We offered to work until the last day, so those are speeches, but not in this case, because we have worked intensely,” he highlighted.

Batres added that since he took office as Head of Government, he sent various initiatives to the Congress of Mexico City, such as the toughening of penalties for loggers, reforms in the regulation of hosting platform services, greater sanctions for the sale of alcohol on public roads, known as “Michelada Law”.

Programs such as rainwater harvesting systems, community kitchens, and free internet were also elevated to constitutional status.

“When I was asked to be head of Government and complete the last part of this six-year term, when the doctor (Claudia Sheinbaum) left, I said: ‘We have little time, we have to take advantage of it’ and I launched as many initiatives as possible, I have counted 200 achievements,” he highlighted.

In terms of works, Martí Batres highlighted the recovery of the Glorieta de los Insurgentes from informal commerce, the completion of the Santa Fe station of the Insurgente train and the inauguration of Line 3 of the Cablebús.

This October 4, Martí Batres and his team led 10 events, such as the delivery of social housing and deeds in various municipalities and the delivery of RTP units, seven events were private, as part of his farewell tour.
