Withdrawals from savings exceed investments by R$398 million in August

Withdrawals from savings accounts in August exceeded investments by R$398 million, the Central Bank (BC) reported today (6). The data is included in the savings report released by the BC and shows that last month, Brazilians invested R$351.765 billion in savings accounts and withdrew R$352.163 billion.Withdrawals from savings exceed investments by R$398 million in August

The resources invested in the real estate credit savings account (SBPE) recorded deposits of R$302.365 billion and withdrawals of R$303.653 billion, while the amounts invested in rural credit totaled R$49.4 billion and withdrawals were R$48.510 billion.

In relation to net collection, the report shows that the SBPE values ​​were R$1.288 billion, while the resources applied in rural credit had a net collection of R$890 million.

The BC also reported that the total savings income in the month was R$5.439 billion, resulting from R$4.070 billion in income from SBPE and R$1.369 billion in rural credit. With this, the total savings balance amounted to R$1.020 trillion. In July, the income had a balance of R$1.016 trillion.
