With their hands, parents from Huancavelica improve the streets

Residents of Tinquerccasa are participants in the change in their locality since they are the ones who, with their own effort, work on the construction of tracks and sidewalks in the town center, a work carried out by the Regional Government of Huancavelica (GRH).

INHABITANTS BUILD ROADS IN THEIR LOCALITY

The regional entity, which executes the work of tracks and sidewalks of Tinquerccasa with an investment of 12 million 55 thousand 952.44 soles and that is carrying it out through the contract modality, inspected the labor quota of labor and verified that several workers are from Tinqueccasa.

Mardonio Soto, father of two children ages 7 and 4, works on paving stones on Simón Bolívar street.

The man has been working for about three months and assures that he patiently waited for his opportunity, given that the company was taking the services of the residents, according to specialty and according to the progress of the work.

“I feel very proud to be part of this work. Apart from working, since I was a child, together with my friends and neighbors, we have always dreamed of having our streets paved,” said Soto.

Likewise, Aurelio Sotacuro is also the father of two minors, 1 and 4 years of age.

The community member and former leader has also been on the construction site for about three months and is responsible for installing cobblestones, ramps and other types of finishes.

“Although there is little left to finish, the reality is different, the change is great,” said the father of the family.

Like Soto and Sotacuro, Alberto Escobar is also a resident of Tinquerccasa and the father of two children, one 18 and the other 8 years old.

The man has been working since the beginning of the work and to date he is working on curbs, berms and others.

“We have always longed to have our streets paved, at least the main ones, but all of them are so complete, not even dreamy. We are grateful for this work of impact and for the change in our lives,” Escobar said.

The work consists of the construction of rigid pavement in a section of 3 kilometers 239.45 linear meters, in addition to sidewalks, gutters, curbs, sewers, storm collector, walls and landscaping.

More than 85% of physical progress has the road work that, among other things, intervenes 18 arteries.
