More than 500 women from the Buenos Aires Justicialist Party participated on Saturday in the first Meeting of the Women’s Branch that took place in the historic Quinta de San Vicente, where the national deputy Máximo Kirchner, head of that political space, was present.
The call included congressmen, counselors, secretaries, civil servants, mayors and senators.
Among others, the vice-governor and vice-president of the provincial PJ, Verónica Magario; National Senator Juliana Di Tullio; the president of the block of senators from the province of Buenos Aires, Teresa García; the national deputy and general secretary of the Federation of Judicial Workers’ Unions, Vanesa Siley; the mayors of Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza; de Merlo, Karina Menendez; de Moreno, Mariel Fernandez; from Cañuelas, Marisa Fassi: and from Carlos Tejedor, María Celia Gianini; in addition to the counselor of the Buenos Aires PJ Youth, Amira Curi.
For his part, Máximo Kirchner met with the party authorities that make up the women’s branch and then toured the commissions in which “the relevance of the role of women throughout history and in Peronism” was analyzed, spokesmen for that political force.
During the day, which featured a fair for entrepreneurs, the recently deceased Executive Director of the Provincial Agency for Children and Adolescents (OPNyA), Andrea Balleto, was honored and, in addition, the attack on the vice president’s office was repudiated Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in the National Congress.
“We want to summon all of them to rebuild this history,” said Magario at the close of the event, adding: “It is our time; We women are going to be the voice of the Argentine people for the recovery of our rights.”
In a statement, it was indicated that the conclusions of the meeting aimed to mark the concern about the debt contracted by former President Mauricio Macri and former Governor of Buenos Aires María Eugenia Vidal, and appealed to the need to “work tirelessly and militarily to reverse the difficult situation that the government of Cambiemos left and that deepened with the coronavirus pandemic”.
In addition, it is indicated that it was resolved that for March 24, on the day of Memory, Truth and Justice, a great mobilization will be carried out in homage “to the missing compañeras and compañeros; the survivors of state terrorism and the grandchildren who are still tirelessly sought after”.
