Lavin’s is the tenth femicide registered so far in 2022, according to this newspaper’s count based on reports from various civil organizations. Together with Maylén Guerra García (40 years old, Santa Clara), Misladis Carmenates Hidalgo (43 years old, Camagüey), Yaite Balmaceda Cano (27 years old, Río Cauto, Granma), Lisbet Machado (28 years old, Havana), Eriday Soto Martínez ( 26 years old, Jobabo, Las Tunas), Yamilka Silva (Báguanos, Holguín) and Darlín García, there are two murdered women reported by the magazine Tense Wings unidentified by name, a 21-year-old in San Luis (Santiago de Cuba) and another 24 in Cárdenas (Matanzas).
