The violent acts against the Public Force in Norte de Santander continue. This Wednesday night there was a new attack against the Police, this time in the municipality of Convención.

The Commander of the Police in Norte de Santander, Colonel Carlos Martínez, gave details of what happened in the Convention, municipality that has been hit in recent days by violence.

“Terrorists attacked the Convention Police station, Our brave police officers reacted to this attack with rifles and explosives. Several subversives would have been wounded in the police reaction, we are developing different operations to locate them,” the officer said.
On the other hand, the police commander in the department has indicated that “In their flight, in the same way, they forgot an improvised explosive device near the police station. Once again we see that these terrorists do not respect International Humanitarian Law”.

In other events that occurred this Wednesday, it was reported by the National Army that a professional soldier was injured after being attacked with a shot executed by a sniper. The soldier was initially transferred to the municipality of Ocaña, and later brought to Cúcuta where he receives specialized medical care.
During this year they are 46 launching means, 37 explosive devices and four anti-personnel mines neutralized by the Rapid Deployment Force No. 3, thus guaranteeing the security of the region.
